Meet Ryan Burley, GeoSolutions USA Director of Sales and Business Development

In the last 13 years, GeoSolutions has helped more around 250 customers all over the world to integrate, deploy and operate enterprise solutions based on our renowned open source geospatial products GeoServer, MapStore, GeoNode and GeoNetwork through our Enterprise Support Services, Enterprise Subscription Services and our GeoSolutions Professional Training Services offerings.
It is now two years since we opened a subsidiary company in the US in order to provide better services to existing and prospect clients from the North American market and we are very happy with the outcomes despite the difficulties we have gone through in this crazy period for all of us; we have been serving more than 40 clients and we have plans to expand further in the upcoming years with our offering and products.
In this blog post we would like to announce the appointment of Ryan Burley as new Director of Sales and Business Development for GeoSolutions USA with a focus on the US and Canada markets. Ryan is a 20-year GIS and Remote Sensing industry professional previously supporting remote sensing acquisition and mapping projects from fixed wing, satellite, and drone-based platforms as well as GIS software applications for all levels of government and commercial industry clients. He holds a BA in Geography and Regional Development from University of Washington and is currently a USGIF GeoINT graduate student at Penn State University.
Meanwhile, we want to take this opportunity to thank Luis Bermudez, who is stepping down from CEO at GeoSolutions USA to open a new chapter in life outside the IT and GIS world. Ryan will take over sales and business development while Simone Giannecchini will become the new CEO at GeoSolutions USA to further speed our growth in the North American market. Thanks Luis for all your efforts in these two difficult years; despite all the adversities you have helped us expand our footprint in the North American market as well as to grow our clients’ base.
