GeoNode 4.1.1 is out

Dear Reader,

We are pleased to announce the new stable release of GeoNode.  This release includes the upgrade to Django 3.2.20 and some core Python dependencies. The GeoNode Docker image has been upgraded to Ubuntu 22.10. Some of the fixes included in this version:

  • Handling of vector datasets attributes with spaces in the attribute name when rendered with the default feature info template
  • Fixed the direct download URL that weren’t not working in some cases when local files are not available
  • Fixes to the assignment of regions crossing the dateline
  • Fixes and improvements to the harvesting of ArcGIS REST ImageServer services
  • Fixes to the Italian translations

A few minor improvements have also been backported from the development branch:

  • The link icon at the top of the information panel now links to the generic ows service, which can be used for any OGC Web Service (WMS, WFS and WCS)
  • Improved the layout of abstracts inside the resource cards

The full list of changes and bug fixes can be found in the changelog. No changes to the environment configurations and GeoNode settings are required to upgrade from 4.1.0 to 4.1.1. We invite you to upgrade to take advantage of the security patches and bug fixes!
